Hello everyone, me and a good friend are looking to start a raiding guild. I was uplast night really thinking but can't think of anything original and good.
Please any real ideas would be much help! Thanx and keep in mind its a raiding guild so no PvP in it plz.

There seem to be two basic ways to go: the funny, lighthearted way or the more serious, fantasy-oriented route.
So on the one hand, you have guilds with names like %26quot;Trollbane Brewing Company,%26quot; %26quot;Hordecore Pwnogrpahy,%26quot; %26quot;House of Pwncakes,%26quot; %26quot;Lipstick Thespians%26quot; and the like. On the other hand, you have the guilds with names like %26quot;Guardians of the Gate,%26quot; %26quot;Destruction of Ages,%26quot; %26quot;The Distorted Nightmare,%26quot; %26quot;The Tainted Lost,%26quot; and so on. Decide which route fits your style more and toss around some ideas with your friend. Start by thinking of things you like and looking in their worlds. Are there any books, movies or TV shows that you're particularly fond of? Any anime, comic books, or other video games? Any music you love, you could name it after a song, or lift a line from a song?
Beyond that, if you're trying to come up with a good, original name...well, %26lt;i%26gt;you%26lt;/i%26gt; should do it. If I make it up, it's not original, is it?
the post above is correct when he says u need to come up with a name and well all of it lol but may i sergest when u raid u could do a raid with 25 man well that could be classed as a small army so even things that go along with the millatery wouldn be a bad idea i have seen a raiding guild called 'chaotic army' and it fits the role of the guild

Seriously though, what we did was have everyone submit 3 names they liked, then voted on them in a couple of rounds (taking the top 3 or 5 and voting a 2nd time). Seemed to work out pretty well.
I was once in a guild whose stated goal was something along the lines of being the second best on the server - someone had suggested Server Seconds. I liked Penultimate myself. Then Blizzard initiated a server restart so we ended up naming the guild Server Shutdown :P.
Chances are what your guild does under the tag will end up meaning more than the actual tag, unless it's really bad. Or Blizzard takes offense and whacks you with the banstick.
I always chuckled over %26quot;Oh Snap.%26quot; I was in a guild called Epic, and then we transitioned to Epic Legacy, and then transitioned in a new guild a little bit before BC came out--we named it %26quot;Burning Legacy.%26quot; which in hindsight sounded like a long term hemorrhoid problem. Watch out for double meanings--and good luck.
