A warlock by the name of Nymh will live on forever in World of Warcraft lore as being the first person to reach level 80, achieving this feat a mere 27 hours after the release of the latest expansion Wrath of the Lich King.
The first level 80 was supposed to be Darus, a paladin who did some powerleveling in instances with Athene and a few other people and eventually got suspended by Blizzard at level 79. She had a few people monitoring other servers to give her updates about the situation here, at first she don't really know how Darus did that but she assume it will be hotfixed by Blizzard very soon.
Contrary to what you may think, Nymh is actually employed and simply took a few days off of work in order to beat the game. It's nice to know that in this day and age where the world economy is in shambles that people can still take time off of work to grind.

She also had to optimize her downtimes and decided to level with a healer out of party, Pavelomm was nice enough to spend the last 27 hours healing me without taking any XP and he obviously played a huge role in the process.
When she reached level 76 she got to know that her leveling speed was slightly lower than what she experienced in beta, she decided to change the template from the original post and switched to something with 2 points in Shadow Mastery to make her DoTs stronger and the leveling a bit easier. (It usually takes 2 DoTs to kill a monster)
