When Oil prices rise so does gas, when oil prices fall so doesn't gas...why?

So if Oil was $145 a barrel, which it was just over a month ago, you would expect to pay between $4.06 (2.8%) to $4.21 (2.9%) for a gallon of gasoline as the national average, which it was! As I drive down the street I'm still seeing prices of gasoline at $3.80 and in other places its still priced as if oil were at $145 a barrel. Why is this so? Doesn't this infuriate you? The price of gasoline should be between $3.22 and $3.33 across the nation, but it's not.

Some people say, "Well, they already paid a higher amount for that gasoline so they need to continue to sell it at that price until it's gone." Give me a break, those trucks come there close to once a week to refill a gasoline station, and do you see them waiting to raise prices when oil goes up? Hell no, they immediately jack the prices up regardless of whether or not it's still that same gas they purchased at a much lower rate. How do gas stations get away with this? Speculation and Fear gives them the ability to jack prices up and increase their profit lines while stealing from us and capitalism allows gas stations to compete (very slowly) to lower prices down and still steal money from our pockets. Most of these gas stations / companies are making up to an extra dollar per gallon on you in pure profit right now. Eventually, if oil stays around 115 you will see the prices come down to norm, but I think it's time the fed regulates how rapidly they can increase gas prices and make these big oil corporations justify these costs and then when oil lowers they should make them rejustify why they are gouging us.

Some of us work for minimum wage and you work HARD for that money. Most of us drive on average 40 miles a day, if you have car that gets 20 miles per gallon, thats 2 gallons of gasoline you have to buy each day to go to work. How do you feel about spending an extra 2 dollars ontop of an already inflated profit margin for 2 gallons of gas? If you're making 7 dollars an hour that means you need to work nearly 20 minutes just to pay for that extra 2 dollars in gasoline that they are gouging you for.

It's time to put an end to this bullshit, the next time you go into a gas station just take a knife in with you and tell them to gouge you in the eye instead of at the pump.

Tell me what you think! If you're spending 2 dollars a day extra, in just a week you spent enough money for another month of WoW, in a month, you could have had 4 active accounts going.
