Quest spoiler addons

If you want to make your questing go faster, there's a group of four addons that work together very well.

  • QuestHelper is a general purpose addon that makes it easier to organize your questing. Puts icons on the map showing you where you need to go to find quest turnins, special mobs, etc. It will even compute optimal paths for you if you have a lot of quests.

  • LightHeaded imports the best rated Wowhead comments right in your quest log. It's a big help to be able to read people's comments on a quest right in the Wow UI. Even better comments often contain coordinates, which you can then click on to locate on your map.

  • TomTom is a map UI mod that helps you keep track of where you want to go. You input waypoint coordinates into it and it puts dots on your map. Even better it puts a big floating arrow on your screen telling you which way to run.

  • Doublewide is a simple quest UI mod that gives you more space to view your quest log.

Putting these all together, questing becomes awfully simple. Take the quest, read the LightHeaded comments, click on the coordinates. Follow the arrow, kill/loot, then follow the arrow back.

Of course this is all massive spoilers and you may be ruining the fun of figuring out quests. Personally I like all the new stuff, but I have no patience for hunting around trying to find something. So these mods work great for me.

PS: there's an alternative to this group of mods called Carbonite. I've never tried it.
