A friend of mine is about to start playing WoW again and was asking about cat DPS gear. So to brag about how awesome I am help him out, here's what I currently wear for pure DPS. My guild has now cleared Hyjal and BT through Bloodboil enough times that I have most of the loot I need from there. I rely on Toskk to help me rate gear.
Unbuffed, my stats are:
3537 attack power
91 hit rating
41.10% crit chance
44 expertise rating (11 expertise)
203 armor penetration
9734 hit points
My best raid DPS in this gear is about 1400: that's WWS reporting on Teron Gorefiend,
where our rogues are doing 1600-1900 DPS. Cat DPS is never going to top the charts. I generally feel I'm doing
well on doing damage if I'm top 50% in my raid, although I often do a
bit better on total damage done because I'm aggressive about staying in
the fight (ie: Supremus).
And here's the gear I'm wearing. Less than half my gear comes from 25 man raids: there's a lot of good cat gear from Badges, Karazhan, etc. The non-raid items are in bold.

The core of my outfit is 2/5 T4 and 2/5 T6. The set bonuses work together nicely along with Omen of Clarity to ensure you have lots of energy available for shreds. The rest of the gear is the usual agility / attack power / crit stacking for DPS. One frustrating thing about T6 level gear is it seems to favour AP/crit over agility, making it generally better for rogues than druids.
I only recently started using the idol; it provides an extra 0.9% crit to my whole party. The Everbloom idol is about 14 dps more for me, but the party idol gives everyone an extra 6 dps or so, not just me. I figure I'm being brought along for Leader of the Pack anyway, so make the most of it.
Reviewing my list I see I have some easy badge upgrades: Belt of the Silent Path, Nynjah's Tabi Boots. Time to go shopping!
