Found this on Toskk%26#39;s forums: a WWS report for a cat druid named Osevin doing 4900 DPS on Patchwerk.%26#0160; Patchwerk is a stand-still-and-kill fight, so it%26#39;s a good test of pure DPS rotation. He%26#39;s top of the DPS in his raid, total raid DPS was 58768 which makes it in the top 5% on WWS right now.
So what%26#39;s he doing?
Shred: 37%, 6500 average (55% crit)
Melee: 32%, 1170 average (50% crit)
Rake: 13%, 2135 ticks
Rip: 11%, 1776 ticks
Ferocious Bite: 8%, 13244 average (100% crit)
Omen of Clarity: 24 times
Tiger%26#39;s Fury: 7 times
Berserk: 5 times
Savage Roar: 1 time
He%26#39;s also getting Rampage and Heroism from his group, along with a bunch of other buffs. His Rip lasts for 19 seconds. He%26#39;s working a 0/55/16 spec for max cat DPS, no tanking talents.
His Melee is hitting for about 50% more than mine, which speaks to his gear. His Shred is hitting for double mine, which is huge? I think he%26#39;s heavily stacking crit but I can%26#39;t be sure from the armory listing. That Mirror of Truth sure is hot though.
What I find most interesting is how much Shred there is. In the few times I%26#39;ve been pure DPS I%26#39;ve been so busy with other buffs I haven%26#39;t had time or energy to shred. He%26#39;s let Rake and Rip slide some and looks on that as a mistake, but I wonder if maybe it%26#39;s a blessing with that massive Shred?
