Regaining Access To A Closed Account

- 72 Hour Ban
In the email for this ban I seen:
"we have reset the password to the World of Warcraft account *************. Please use the new password that has been sent to your registered e-mail address to log into the game client first. After you have successfully logged into the World of Warcraft, you may proceed to the Account Management page to set the password as you choose."

then:
"If you are still unable to locate the temporary password message, please contact us at http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowaa/?id=eSupport000."

I sent a message to the account admins through this link making sure I stated it was a 72 Hour ban and expressed that I wouldn't do it again, blah blah blah.

And near the end added that I havn't received the password yet and would like it sent through. I did this on a friday night, apparently it adds more time to be anwsered. If you have ever contacted them you know it takes awhile for a reply.

-After the 72 Hours were up
After the temp suspension was up I couldnt login because I havnt got the new password. I tried to use the password recovery and when I went back and refreshed my email. . .

- Account closure
I didn't get my password but I did get a perma ban. I was pissed and just closed everything down. This wasn't refering to the same thing as the suspension but about 3rd party appliactions. I thought I was !@#$%^&*. I had used glider myself on this account. Also, in the email it said:
"As a result, the account(s) will no longer be accessible and will unfortunately not be reopened under any circumstances."

- The next day: 72 Hour ban and Final warning. . . Again Smile
It seems the guy who sent the password had somehow changed it to a 72 Hour ban, it had the same reasons as the closure email and not the first suspension message I received before. I used the password to try to login to account management, nothing. . . I remember the email said to login to the client first so I tried that:

SUCCESS! I sent my blues and about 800g to a friend, just incase they caught the mistake. My account still works and I havn't had any problems since, but I'm being careful and no more cheats!

This really wont help for an accout that has been closed for awhile but if you get a pl ban try this and if it works then great. If not at least you tried without the useless begging or lies they can smell from a mile away. Just hope it helps someone else because I know it sucks to lose accounts.

So you decide: Luck, exploit, an accidental closure that was fixed. . . What ever it was I don't know but I'm playing it after a 3rd party application perma ban, which to my knowledge is extremely rare to regain access to. Worth trying at least.

Best times to try this:

- After you get a 72 Hour ban that your sure will turn into a perma ban
- You got a suspension then a ban RECENTLY

What I did:

- I used the link
http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowaa/?id=eSupport000

- Filled it out and for "Category (subject)" I used account action inquiry.

- Stated it was a 72 Hour ban, Explained I wouldn't do it anymore (which dosn't matter but you gotta have some fluff and boring !@#$%^&* for them to read, I made about 2-3 Paragraphs) and then at the end said something like: The email also said my password was changed, I still havn't received it. Any help is great, thanks.

Make sure this message is refering to the first action if it's not the same as the ban but dont go to indepth, just basically say your sorry, I wouldn't even suggest as to why you had a suspension and dont mention the ban. THEN in a quick sentence or two ask for the password because you didn't receive it.[/i] This method might make them just send it. . . if the suspension password change they make to send the email modifys the status of the account then this is what is happening.

I'll explain what apparently needs to happen. When I did this, the status of the account had been changed somehow. I received the email: "World of Warcraft Password Reset" and Another Final Notice.

(With a 72 Hour suspension the password is changed, I asked them to send it again and in doing so it somehow restored access to my account which was closed for botting.)

Take your time to write a sincere apology, it's just to make it look like a real message. You just want them to reset the password as I think this is what "unlocks" the account, or in my case someone simply thought the closure was supposed to be a Temp Suspension. Though I highly doubt someone dealing with account administration would lift a botting ban.

I'm gonna have to say I'm 99% sure it wont work for anyone who was banned awhile ago, but if your situation was recent, similar, and you DIDN'T get your account back. . . give this a try and let us know, worked for me. . . This was my doing and I didn't ever read this elsewhere.

This might help you in the future so remember it if ya get hit with something. I figured it's info worth sharing just incase this situation is replicatable.
